How this library is made

Who writes it

Every page in this library is written and reviewed by Dr Krishnan Pasupathi, a GMC-registered NHS GP (GMC 6050795) working in general practice in Buckinghamshire. There is no anonymous content: one named clinician is accountable for every page.

What the library contains

202 condition guides, 126 medication guides and 50 blood test guides — 378 pages in total. The library is complete as published; pages are corrected and re-reviewed rather than churned out.

How it's written

  • Plain English, aimed at a reading age of 11–12, because health information only works if you can understand it at a worried moment.
  • UK NHS terminology and UK units — mmol/L, mmol/mol — matching the letters and results you actually receive.
  • Named thresholds carry their sources. Where a blood test page shows a cut-off (for example, an HbA1c of 48 mmol/mol for diabetes), the NICE guidance it comes from is stated on the page.
  • Every page says when to get help — your GP, NHS 111, or 999 — because knowing when not to wait matters more than any explanation.

What these pages deliberately don't do

These pages are information only. They do not diagnose, they do not give personal medical advice, and nothing on this site asks for or interprets your personal health information — there are no calculators, no symptom checkers and no fields to type a result into. You read the general explanation; your own results and decisions stay between you and your clinician. The example stories on blood test pages are fictional.

Accessibility

The library is built to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard: readable font sizes (16px minimum), strong colour contrast, meaning never carried by colour alone, full keyboard navigation, visible focus outlines, and respect for reduced-motion settings. If any page falls short, please tell us at feedback@aryash.health.

Corrections

If you spot an error, however small, email feedback@aryash.health. Corrections are made promptly and the page's review date is updated.

Before you act on anything here
